わたしのおもいだ

エワロチリプはニ年前に友達と行きました。そしてこれわ私の思い出です。こうこうをで手から旅行をしました。たくさんのところへ旅行しました。きゅとしへ旅行をしたと思います。私わバルセロナの旅行が一番好きでしたが、わたしのともだちのカーメンはパリが一番好きでした。そして私の友達のミーミーはドワーブロブニックが一番好きでした。まいにちともだちとたべたりかんこうをしたり、あるいたり、クうブにいったりしました。これはとてもすばらしいかったです。じつはこれはたいせつだと思いました。みんなでいるのは、これがさいごだからです。

わたしのふゆやすみ

このクリスマス、エシアへいきました。りょしんといもおとさんしゅうかんにシンガポルとフィリピンと日本へいきました. ははのかぞくわフィリピンにすんでいますでから。そして父の家族わ日本にすんでいます。これわとてもよかったでがいつもかぞくとたくさんたべました！

うちでフィリピンにいました。わたしのひだりにいもおとがいます。

いとこと日本のハイテイです

りょこのなかでシンガポルがいちばん楽しかったです。シンガポルでこうこうへ行きました。ですから、このクリスマスわたしのとまだちがシンガポルにいました。

なにがすきです：

• えいがをみるがすきです。えいがの'BreakfastAtTiffanys'だいすきです。
• りょこうのをするのがすきです。おくにのイギリスとニホんがだいすきです。
• ともだちにあいますがすきです
• たくさんたべものをたべますがすきです。わたしわにほんのたべものがいちばんすきです。

わたしのスケジュール

まいにちわたしはとてもいそがし。たとえばせんしゅうのきんにょびはごぜんはちじにおきました。それからじゅうじわたしはともだちとわたしはともだちとしょくどうでりょうりおしました。それからじゅうにじににほんごのクラスえいきました。あとでにじからごじまでべんきょうしました。それからせんしゅうのきんにょうびのばんパーチーえいきました。ごぜんさんじにうちえかえりました。

Why I Chose To Study Japanese

I chose to learn Japanese because I intend to study history and politics in East Asia with a particular concentration in Japan. Until now I have been studying Japan from the Tokugawa period to the Meiji Restoration, and I am currently looking at the Occupation years in the aftermath of Japan's defeat in World War 2. I believe that to really immerse oneself in the study of a particular country, one must learn it's language. By understanding the nuances in Japanese language I hope to gain better insight into Japan's culture and idiosyncrasies that make it unique.

This desire to learn the language only came about recently. I am half Japanese, and when I was seven years old I lived in Tokyo for one year. However, I never felt connected to either sides of my heritage due to moving around South East Asia often and growing up in international schools. My interest in Japan started two years ago, when I would go back every spring to visit my grandparents in Tokyo. Now I am still in the midst of discovering both Japan as a historical, cultural and political country; and on a more personal note, my own identity through my heritage.

I am most excited to ultimately learn how to speak fluent Japanese. I think I'll consider myself as successful when the time comes where I won't have to translate whatever I want to say from English to Japanese in my head. I know that that won't happen for a long time!
